Im having issues adjusting the text box size. Aside from that its awesome to import my pictures and to finally be able to make patterns!

The best cross stitch app out there. Very easy to use and you can use it anywhere. I have used this app for all my cross stitch/designs. Highly recommend it.
I rarely purchase apps, but this one was worth it. Great features such as the tracing paper to overlay an imagine on the graph to make designing easier, adjustable gauge, and PDF output of the final product. There are additional features I would like to see, such as being able to flip/mirror the final pattern and ability to straw straight lines or other shapes as built in items.
I love this app! I use it to render cross stitch charts from picture I take with my phone. Its the perfect xstitcher app I was waiting for! <3
Generally a good app, especially for cross stitching but for beading it needs to support more than just the bead loom with stitches such as peyote (1 and 2 drop), brick stitch, right angle etc... Especially peyote. The color selections for top Japanese beads are there but this common stitch cannot be done in this app. For loom work, no complaints. For knitters some symbols are missing and its difficult to get charts to show exactly how you need them to. Color and symbols are separate and cannot be combined (like in shadow illusion knitting). Other apps are starting to pop up that do a better job. These were the two purposes I needed most and purchased this app for. I havent come across an app that does it all like this one but these features must be addressed.
Doesnt crash, has a lot of features to make it easy to draw new cross-stitch patterns or trace over other images. Easy to modify canvas size, colours and to cut-and-paste drawn elements. Id recommend skimming the manual to get a feel for the tools, as there are many to use.
Multiple crashes when loading text tool or colour changes. Would be a 5 star but the crashes are way to frequent.
text feature doesnt work at all. Kloster blocks do not align properly. Bad buy.
I have tried quite a few of e cross stitch design apps and this one by far is the most user friendly. I really enjoy creating patterns on it and would highly recommend for those wanting to creat on their iPad.
Ive just gotten a glimpse of the potential of my new hobby, crochet and using this app, I am so excited and inspired I want to go buy all the yarn in the world. I was working on a design and literally saw it come together in my minds eye worked to completion. Minuets later I saw another project come together. I was so inspired I had to get a note book out and start quick sketching the projects, just in case, so I wouldnt miss any details. This app just needs a little more work. Some of the direction and menu options were a little difficult to figure out. Once figured out everything worked fine, but it was a bit of a learning curve not supported by the user manual. I also found the user manual hard to follow. Other than that, if you are willing to commit a few hours to learning how to use this app it is worth the $5. I give it a buy and cant wait to see what comes with updates.
I love this app. There was never an app that I could make my crochet patterns with. I still cant figure out how to take a simple picture and put it on the graph size I want. For example, a black outline of a heart, I want on a 25x25 graph. It never goes the size I want or it just shows me half. Lol. Anyway I thank you so much for this app. You must have dedicated a lot of time into this, and you did not have to share it with us, and you did. So god bless, and thanks. :)
Compatible with Dropbox and Knit Companion. Ive been using the free version for years to create knitting patterns and weaving drafts. Purchased because I need a larger canvas than what was available in free version. After creating a pdf version the chart can be added directly to Knit Companion, emailed, printed, or placed in a Dropbox folder where additional written instructions can be added before publishing. This is the best app for designing needlework patterns anywhere, anytime.
I know how to read charts. I thought I knew how to design them. This app makes me second guess that knowledge. I wanted to use it primarily to create my own knitted charts but have not been able to do so since I purchased it. Ive tried to import my own pictures, which it does, but I cannot resize the canvas and chart size to my specifications. The on-line manual is not helpful. Please improve your instructions and include a step by step tutorial to help the novice because this is not working for me and I categorize myself as an intermediate knitter.
Im a serious Perler Bead crafter, so I purchased this to ONLY use it for Perler Beads. The pre-programmed color chart specified as "Perler Bead" is way off. The colors are wrong, so while I purchased this mostly for a pre-programmed palette of Perler Bead colors, I cant use that feature. Since I cant access the help manual, I cant figure out if Im able to make a custom palette thats always available, without having to enter each color in manually, for each project (by searching through the DMC Floss color chart). Howe,
I purchased this app because I make beaded loom bracelets, this app allows me to make my own pattern or modify existing patterns I have found. It took a little getting used to, but I have found it really helpful. The awesome part is I can create/modify a pattern wherever I am and I dont have to carry graph paper w/me. I also use delica seed beads so I have found the chart very helpful, I would recommend this to any loom beader, perler beader, or crosstitcher. :)
With this terrific app, you can not only create new charts from scratch, but you can also import images from your camera roll and create charts from those. So, you can create a chart from a photo of your favorite flower, your pet, a loved one, from a favorite painting youve saved, or anything else of which you have taken a photo or downloaded a pic from the Internet. The user interface is easy to use and very intuitive. Its the most complete app of its type that Ive seen. Im an "advanced" level cross stitcher and also do traditional embroidery and blackwork. You can use this app for those purposes too. It is quite flexible. I have not been able to find anything better yet.
I use this app most often for making knitting charts. It has extensive stitch library; customisable grid and overall graph size; color vs symbols option; cross stitch, beading, or knitting chart option; import JPEG, export PDF, Mail, ability to add multiples of a stitch to chart with swipe, etc. One wish list item would be ability to darken graph grid and symbols.
I am a first-time chart designer, and I use this app for cross stitch charts. I find this app very easy to use and it has great capabilities. I have only the following comments: (1) I would like to see an update with the new DMC floss colors. The current chart seems to be a couple of color releases behind. (2) I would like an option to sort the color selection chart by number, rather than the standard DMC floss cards order. (3) It would be nice to be able to chart 2 half stitches in the same square. Overall, great app.
I have taken a combination of 4 pictures to create a cross stitch pattern and it is turning out beautifully. I live working with this app.
StitchSketch is a perfect way to draw charts or pixel art. On the iPad I could use a stylus which blew the computer out of the water immediately. I imagine this format would work great for drawing icons and favicons too. The app ui design is very much desktop computer inspired. It works well for an app with such powerful functionality. Nothing is dumbed down for mobile at all. I was able to make a chart then save as to make multiple versions and then modify each version slightly. I could export each version as an image to my photos app then swipe through them to compare. Perfect!
