It works well enough. Id prefer better single stitch options. But all in all, its a good program.

After using this app for a few days Ive decided its not worth $7.99. Free is more like it. The ops manual and subsequent release notes dont tell you how to use the app, they just tell you the names of many of the tools. Youll have to figure out how to use this app by playing with it. When I imported a pixel chart into it, the app introduced a lot of garbage into it that took several hours to clean up. I also discovered that when you switch apps, but leave this one open, it looses your work unless you save it frequently. I like to save often and make different versions of my work. Some how, the app lost my chart formatting on every version and instead of saving a knit chart version with my specific gauge info, it changed it to a pixel image with completely different gauge specs. When I tried to change it back to my settings, several of the pixels in the chart changed too, so Im right back where I started having to re-do all of my initial changes to the chart. I think I would have been better off using knitting chart paper and doing it from scratch. I wouldnt recommend this app to knitters.

Few things you guys need to know. 1) it is nice to have basic app but very limited with layers. You would have to create image or two to be merged together before using this. Hidden layers are horrible design and difficult to use. Unlikely photoshop method which I prefer. 2) there is no written pattern where you can follow the colors counting. You will have to force yourself to counting over and over. This one required to have a lot of patient. 3) this one dont have printer direct. You must export PDF or Joey then print it which I dont like t. I prefer direct from app. 4)Not great tutorial or instruction to show you how to use this app. This is required a lot of technology savvy person to have patient to play it around. 5) other than that, this is a good for People who want to start basic like cross stitch, knitter, crocheting, etc. go ahead! For me, I give this three stars because I m such technology savvy and love to have more than that. Unfortunately I would have to buy 50 bucks software to have everything for C2C diagonal written pattern.

I use it all the time to work out a quick color scheme or design more complex projects. Very useful!

What a great pattern making app. I had to use the tutorial to figure it out but once I did, it was easy!

Most of my issues have been corrected. I would like to see crochet stitch symbols added as well please. The only problem Im having now is sometimes a color/symbol I have used in a pattern becomes dead and it cant be worked with any longer. Would love to discuss with someone directly.

Great for charting straight cross stitch designs. However if you want to add backstitching or speciality stitch it is difficult to do and save or move with cross stitch design. I love the fact that I can send my finished design from my iPhone to my iPad and back.

Within minutes, I imported a photograph into the app, scaled it to fit my canvas, assigned colors, and was ready to begin work! Some people have commented that its not intuitive, however I found it to be incredibly intuitive. If you have experience using Adobe graphics programs, this will be a cinch! WOW!

Update* Still loving this app, but would like it if I could have a larger canvas. Ive been using this app to design a rather complicated double knit scarf pattern, but I can only go up to 250 squares long (or wide). Would love for that to be extended to 500 or more! ------ I was looking for an app that would let me design a project using a graph format. I tried a few cheaper programs before I found this one, but they were horrible. This program was just what I wanted though. It is perfect for designing many different types of projects, or just doing pixel art. It has a large choice of colours to choose from, including the colour charts from many types of floss if you are cross stitching. You can even upload pictures from your photo library to convert them into a graph. It does text also! There are so many features, Im really surprised the price is so reasonable. My only complaint is that with all the different features, its a bit complicated figuring out how to use it. You can access a link to the homepage at the top of the screen and from there download a copy of the users manual, but I hope in the future that a tutorial and users manual will be added for use within the app. Still, overall, a truly excellent app for crafters!

Its been good. I imagine it would be a little bit difficult for someone who is unfamiliar with art programs. I cant wait to use it on my iPad. 6S+ is workable but bigger would be better

Get this app if you like making your own charts you will not be disappointed!!!

Once I figured out the different tools, Ive been able too create my own cross stitch patterns with ease, that includes all the details I need, like backstitch, half stitches, etc... I would love to be able to search for a color by its number rather than just scan the colors. Overall its a great tool!

I make patterns almost daily. This app is so close to being just what I need. If only there was a nice easy way to do solid half stitches, not just a back stitched line. And also, if the chart could be larger than just 250x250. Mainly though, the half stitches. Please include this in the next update!!!!

I love this app but it feels a little neglected. The drawing of a straight line or back-stitch is really painful. Maybe another method would be better of connecting the dots and way you could hold down your finger until you see where the first node of the line is going to be then you select the next node on the line and so on. Auto save? Ive been burned by opening up another app then when I change back it closed out of my working document. It was so frustrating.

Easy to import pics.

I love this app!!! It is very useful for converting photographs or drawings to a grid stitching. I would love to see some improvements so that specialty stitches can be drawn. This would make it very useful for more advanced projects on fabric and canvas.

This is a horrible app that is a shake down. It either doesnt work or is impossible to understand. Cannot create what it promises. Please give me my money back. When you charge this amount you are asking people to trust you and you are using people through misrepresentation.

Im a serious Perler Bead designer, so I purchased this to use ONLY for Perler Bead patterns. The color chart for Perler Beads is NOT actual PB colors. Most the colors are off slightly, and some dont exist at all in any of the color palettes (like butterscotch, for example). Would be perfect if custom color creation and saving of pallets was added. The app itself is by far one of the best Ive come across for PB pattern creation via iPad, and has been my main app for over a year. Its easy to use after a bit of a learning curve. But if I can ever find a solid app with all the features of this one, but with a true Perler Bead color palette, Id switch in a heartbeat.

My favorite part of this app is the ability to make my own patterns from photos on my camera roll. It lets you choose however many colors you want and displays the pattern in a variety of ways for all preferences.
